The Free and Direct Podcast Episode Two

...in which L'Esprit discusses L'Esprit

The second episode of the Free and Direct Podcast is now live! This was an especially cool episode—in that we talked about ourselves.

It’s not quite as bad as it sounds, as the very excellent ARTWIFE Mag had us on their podcast, and Editor Hannah Harlee interviewed Jessica and Dan about both L’Esprit and Indirect.

We got into the history of the journal, what we look for in submissions, how we came to launch a press, and what’s on the horizon. The episode ends with Dan reading a bit from his story, “After Ilium,” that ARTWIFE was kind enough to publish recently.
